The SMCCU was invited to speak at the Dubai Women’s College to give up and coming graduates a taste of what the centre does in promoting cultural understanding in corporate and institutional environments. As these graduates may be employed by multi national companies, the talk focused on how to bridge the cultural gaps found in the workplace and how they can teach others about the intracasies of the Emirati culture, in and effort to create a cohesive work environment. Michael Ridgeway, General Counsel for Dubai Financial Services Authority also spoke on this topic and shared invaluable information with the students. The centre was keen to attend the Dubai Women’s College Career Day, inviting job seekers to become a part of the SMCCU team. The centre supports the local community with internships and opportunities to work within its organization, giving Emiratis a chance to share their rich culture with guests visiting the centre.
